Cassandra Monique Batie aka Andra Day is an American R&B/Soul singer-songwriter. Alongside a Grammy Award and Golden Globe Award she's also up for nomination as the winner of an Academy Award. Andra day is an incredibly talented and powerful artist. She's not the throwback R&B specialist, however her experience in gospel jazz as well as the blues is apparent and is a perfect fit for today's music. She began her career in TV series like Orange Is the New Black 666 Park Avenue and Blue Bloods. Her film debut was in the role of Allyson in the horror show Halloween.
